Jathi Ratnalu Movie Review

Jathi Ratnalu

Review: Jathi Ratnalu

‘Jathi Ratnalu’ is Naveen Polishetty all the way. Without the super-talented ‘Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya’ actor, the film would not have existed. Director Anudeep KV ropes in immensely talented actors like Priyadarshi and Rahul Ramakrishna, besides Murali Sharma, to play other important characters.

The storyline is quite simple. Srikanth and his two friends are accused of attempting to kill Chanakya (Murali Sharma), an MLA and the future Sports Minister. They are innocent but the way they talk and behave, everyone becomes suspicious. The courtroom trials put them in a spot. How they come out of the situation is what the second half is about.

The film is full of spontaneous jokes. Tanikella Bharani, Rangasthalam Achanta and Mirchi Kiran are enjoyable in their respective roles. Naveen’s one-liners are full of fun.

Faria Abdullah, a new actress with a theatrical background, is a nice find. She plays a dumb lawyer to perfection.

The songs are neat. Radhan’s music is a big plus. The background music is enjoyable.

Plus Points:

Comedy scenes
Right casting
Satirical humour
Love track

Minus Points:

None

Verdict:

If you want to laugh heartfully, ‘Jathi Ratnalu’ is for you. It’s one of the most promising comedies made in recent years. Go watch it!
